30 Aug 2007 abbywinters.com donates $10k to ASACP, $40k+ to others

Leading adult website abbywinters.com have greatly increased their commitment to the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP), amongst contributions to other charities.

abbywinters.com supports a number of initiatives that work to protect minors from accessing their content, including RTA (Restricted To Adults) labelling and ICRA (Internet Content Rating Association) labelling – both of which work with parental filters – and prominent recommendations for NetNanny and CyberSitter programs that work with filters.

The work of ASACP goes further, actually inspecting adult sites for minors and depictions of adults posing as minors as part of their labelling process. abbywinters.com, despite focusing on 18-23 year old models, passes the ASACP’s stringent requirements.

abbywinters.com has recently given $10,000 to the ASACP to support them and to encourage others to do the same. This inaugurates the site as an ASACP Title Sponsor.

Site CEO Garion Hall says, “We have a strong ethos at abbywinters.com that extends beyond how we treat our models and staff. As a large, successful part of the digital adult industry, we have an obligation to give back to our online community. We also want to keep minors away from the content and to dispel the myth of a link between erotica displaying consenting adults and paedophilia. As abbywinters.com receives more coverage in US media, we feel we should take the lead, sponsoring the ASACP and hoping other companies will follow our example.”

Vice President Jo Mason adds, “Protecting children is vital, and having a self-regulating industry is always favourable to having regulations forced upon us. The ASACP’s work helps to prove what we already know: the digital adult industry does not produce child porn, and we don’t need to be regulated by the government about it.”

As part of its ongoing philanthropic activities abbywinters.com has given over $50,000 to charities so far, including the ASACP. Other recipients include poverty-reducing initiatives such as WorldVision, technology and software organisations such as OpenSSH, men’s and women’s organisations like Mo-Vember and The Centre for Sex & Culture, and many more. A list of recent donations can be found on the guest side of the website in the FAQs along with links for others to donate as well. The company sponsors eight children in third world countries via Plan and donates monthly to local drug education programs in its home town of Melbourne, Australia.

“Being a responsible corporate citizen is as important in this industry as it is in any other,” adds Hall. “We thank the organisations for their good work, congratulate others who have also been contributing, and encourage everyone to help. If nothing else, add the labels to your site and ensure you meet the ASACP’s code of ethics. The adult industry can always use positive attention, now especially.”

Australian website and adult media producer abbywinters.com is consistently rated first in amateur and girl-girl genres on the adult Internet. Along with extraordinary growth in the company’s web-based business, abbywinters.com DVDs have been jumping off U.S. retail shelves as fast as they can be restocked.

The content focuses on healthy, happy, natural Aussie girls getting naked. Passionate love-making scenes between girls who do it their own way – nothing scripted and nothing faked. Genuine masturbation by girls in private, getting off for the camera without direction. And much more. Since 2000, abbywinters.com has maintained its vision of shooting amateur Australian models in regular clothes, in their own bedrooms (or outside amongst Australia’s flora), many with full pubic hair. The abbywinters.com site has three distinct sections: solo shoots (stills and video); “Intimate Moments,” a video-only section showing models masturbating to orgasm; and a girl-girl section (stills and video). The website is updated daily with new material completely exclusive to abbywinters.com and shot by the in-house all-female crew.
